Teach Wimbledon is driven by a commitment to excellence, integrity, and collaboration. These values shape every aspect of our training community. By setting high standards, supporting one another, and upholding professional integrity, Teach Wimbledon prepares teachers who make a meaningful and lasting impact in their schools.

Figures released show that the progress made by pupils in Merton secondary schools, when they take their GCSEs, puts the borough's schools as the best performing schools in the country. This comes as 100% of secondary schools in Merton continue to be judged at least good by Ofsted. Merton schools’ are top in England for Progress 8, figures from DfE show.

As a Lead Partner of the University of Roehampton, Teach Wimbledon provides a school‑led route into teaching that allows graduates to choose the school in which they complete their training year. Most of our trainees go on to secure permanent roles either at their placement school or within another school in the Teach Wimbledon alliance.

Teach Wimbledon provides trainees with the opportunity to be immersed in school life from the very start, learning directly from experienced and supportive professionals. Full‑time trainees typically spend four days each week in their placement school, with one day dedicated to university‑based training.

An innovative and progressive approach based on effective pedagogical understanding provides the successful candidates with a plethora of educational opportunities, all underpinned by outstanding and experienced mentoring.
