What an amazing trip to Paris we have had with Year 9 and Year 10 this half term! After an interesting start and a few challenges to get there, we all enjoyed discovering the capital over the 4 days we spent there. We were lucky to get a few extra places to visit this year, and to see the Olympic Cauldron back on display in the Tuileries Gardens, as well as a temporary exhibition on the Pont Neuf!
Activities ranged from the Eiffel Tower, going on a river cruise, exploring Notre Dame, the impressive stained glass of the Sainte Chapelle and Le Louvre and the surrounding gardens.
The rides in Parc Astérix were enjoyed by all and the last day in Montmartre and the Sacré Coeur, as well as making the most of the sales in the shops, were a perfect opportunity for students to practice their French.
The boys’ behaviour was outstanding and they were a real credit to the school, particularly on the Parisian Metro!
It made it all worth it for staff to see how much the boys enjoyed the trip and the skills they gained while abroad.
I would like to give a special, huge MERCI to Mr Cox, Miss Arthur and Miss Escande who were the dream team and without whom I could not have run this trip!
