Year 9 students have produced an impressive collection of Acrylic Still Life Paintings and Plant Lino Prints, showcasing their creativity and developing artistic skills.
In their still life project, students explored composition, colour mixing, tone and texture, using acrylic paints to create vibrant and detailed studies of carefully arranged objects. They learned how artists use light and shadow to bring depth and realism to their work while developing confidence in painting techniques.
For their Plant Lino Prints, students drew inspiration from the natural world, creating intricate designs based on leaves, flowers and botanical forms. They were introduced to the printmaking process, learning how to carve lino safely and effectively before producing a series of striking prints that demonstrate strong use of pattern, line and contrast.
These projects have encouraged students to refine their observational skills, experiment with different artistic processes and develop a greater appreciation of both painting and printmaking. The finished artworks reflect the talent, dedication and creativity of our Year 9 artists.
