Tender is an arts and education charity committed to preventing domestic abuse and sexual violence amongst young people, by promoting healthy relationships. They visited Rutlish School to deliver workshops to year 9 and 10.
We have had a fantastic turnout for our inter-house football competition this week. We watched some great football skills and top class goals have been scored with even better celebrations!
We are delighted to be able to showcase the musical talent at Rutlish in the Christmas Concert, although Covid restrictions have meant student were unable to perform in person.
Rutlish School careers provision saw two challenge days this term, for all Year 7 and Year 10 students and we have more planned during the year for other year groups.
The week of 15 November 2021 was Anti-Bullying Week with the theme of ‘one kind word’.
The theme this year for National Poetry Day was "flood". Every tutor group was challenged to contribute a line towards a whole school poem.
Students were very excited to be offered the opportunity to attend a Life Drawing session with our Head of Art, Ms Sharma.

At Rutlish School students have a wide variety of interesting leadership opportunities which we believe are important for developing self-confidence and skills, such as negotiation and communication. Student leaders are expected to work with their fellow students as well as the staff team.
The theme for this year's Black History Month celebrations is "proud to be..." The Proud To Be campaign will also focus on encouraging children and young people to share what they are Proud To Be.
On Friday 24 September Rutlish School took part in the #WorldsBiggestCoffeeMorning in support of Macmillan Cancer.
